Safelink Wireless
Safelink Wireless is a program that gives eligible families a free cell phone and plan each month. In McDowell County there are a number of citizens who do not have a cell phone in case of emergencies, and some that do not have a house phone. Please visit www.safelink.com to determine if you are eligible.
Lifeline
Lifeline is a government assistance program that offers telephone discounts to qualified low-income customers. Some companies will allow the discount on either a home phone or wireless phone. To find out more information and to see if you qualify, please contact your phone company.
