Transportation Assistance
Transportation assistance for clients who are on medicaid direct is provided by McDowell County Dept. of Social Services as outlined in the transportation policy which is provided to recipients at the initial assessment for transportation services. If you have a transportation need, please contact McDowell Transit at 828-559-0744. Requests need to be made at least 72 hours in advance.
